Tough audience to target? Try this strategy

I don't often share specific strategies I use, but this one is working really well for a few of my clients right now and its simple enough to implement! The key is in the blog post title and making sure it's super tailored to your audience.

Transcript:

This is a strategy that I use if I'm having a hard time reaching an audience using interest targeting or look like audiences or the other usual targeting methods on Facebook.

The first thing I do is create a blog post that is very specifically tailored towards the audience that you want to reach. For example, if you are a piano teacher and you've got an online program you're selling to teach beginners how to play piano, you might write a blog post called “Three Tips to Speed Up the Learning Curve for Beginners Learning Piano”, something that really only the audience you're targeting would actually click on. They're the only people that would really be interested in that.

Next, you'll create a campaign on Facebook using the traffic objective and send them to that blog post. The traffic objective will allow you to get as many clicks as possible for as cheap as possible, so you'll be able to get a lot of people to that blog post and reading that blog post, which is what we want because that's the audience that we're going to use to re-target in the next campaign.

So then, you'll create a custom audience using your Facebook pixel, so make sure that's installed on your website, and re-target the people that visited that URL of that blog post, and re-target them in your conversions campaign with your offer.

This works really well because you've already warmed them up. You've got an audience of people that you know are interested in that. And you know they're also motivated because they recently clicked to learn more about that. So they're ready to take action and they're interested in what you've got. And they've also just been to your website, they've seen your logo, there's maybe even a tiny bit of trust built there already.

So this is something that's been working really well for me, for certain clients and certain industries. If you try it out, please let me know. I'd be really curious to hear how it works for you.
