If you're going to be spending money on Facebook advertising, there are two things that I recommend in order to make sure that you're getting the most out of your advertising budget. The first is to hire help. You shouldn't be running your ads yourself. I can't tell you how many times I've had people ask me for help looking at their ads or people have hired me and I've looked at what they were running before and it's clear that they're just throwing money down the drain with the way that they've set it up. Things aren't optimized correctly, the creative isn't very good and there's just no cohesive strategy there. So you need to make sure that if you're going to be spending money on ads, that you are working with someone who is going to help you get the most out of your spend.

The second thing is tracking, which, hopefully, if you’ve hired someone they'll help set this up for you and make sure it's good. But your tracking should be absolutely flawless. So you should not only have your Facebook pixel installed on the website, but you should have standard events set up to track different actions that people are taking throughout your funnel. Because you don't want to find yourself in the position where you've spent a bunch of money, and now you go back to analyze it and get your learnings, and you don't have the data there and you can't troubleshoot what went wrong and what to improve.
